What a beautiful clothing and such a lot of bands during the seventees in your country. It must have been had a lot of fun during that time.. Just seeing this pictures makes me happy..
Well … what you people probably don’t know is that in Sweden at the time there were tax laws for artists that determined that if the stage costume should be tax deductable it had to be so utterly strange that it was ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE to wear to work or in the street. Imagine the strange disputes over the purple-green chequered blazer Kurt-Ove says he bought for his sisters wedding … but the taxman doesn’t believe him and wants to see photos from the wedding as a proof … If a band had normal jackets or suits the taxman cruelly said NO.
I know cause I was there, on stage, in a fairy-like pink blouse … and I was pretty, oh so pretty …
That is the real story behind the hilarious looks. All the girlfriends and wives had to burst the boundaries of their imagination at the sewing machine …
