Sometimes memorabilia can transport you to the times even though you have not lived through them and that was the feeling I had when I was researching these posters. I can now appreciate why certain people like to collect the posters.

You saw enough of war propaganda?
Than it’s time for you to see

More great images:

Picture worth a thousand words.
This one http://www.magazine13.com/img/misc/vintage-war-propaganda-posters/vintage-war-propaganda-posters22.jpg is not a vintage war poster. It is modern fear mongering/satire dressed up as a WW2 poster.
Poster #4 and the one Theryman just prove we are slowly losing our rights as Americans to make our own choices. Its either fall in line and obey like mindless robots, with no ability to have our own opinion or be accused of being a traitor to the US.
marebear: you have an interesting definition of “proof”. good luck not being brainwashed by random posters.
Posters #4 and #22 are satirical. And they’re not war posters in the sense that most of the rest of them are. They may have been assembled during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, but they’re certainly not vintage. Fox News wasn’t even launched until 1996.
That’s not to say that they’re worthless or that their points are invalid, but they stick out because they’re not from the same era as the rest.
I ruined many people in my family. Stole and lied. And I have NO remorse whatever. What advice would you give me?

Nice collection…but I’m with Theryman and Taschend, these aren’t all vintage. Attention to detail.
#22 is cute.
It’s just a damn shame so many people actually believe in the “right wing conspiracy” when they should be looking left.
It’s also a damn shame when people talk about irrelevant things :p
Interesting collection of things, though I’ve seen most of them before, except that Winston Churchill one dressed up as as the old WW I Lord Kitchener poster.
Like the other comments have also mentioned though, there’s some satirical ones mixed in there too.
as Theryman said the “help me find and kill terrorist agitators” one is not vintage. Fox News? SUV’s? Global Warming? Obviously modern.
The milk poster looks to be vintage but clearly isn’t war propaganda. It’s marked Cleveland Department of Health.
none of these are real. they’re fake. photoshopped. i was there. it never happened. just like the holocaust never happened. it was all american propaganda to incite anger and loyalty in the armies of the allies and get us all out of the great depression. you all have been duped…even by your teachers. tsk tsk tsk
Obvious troll is obvious.
NON OF THESE ARE REAL!!!!! if you think that these are real, your an idiot.
War is kind.
David and others: Does anyone know the actual context of the milk poster? Milk was one of the heavily rationed products during WWII, so people were not being encouraged to drink it – they were being encouraged to do without! It’s another poster that doesn’t belong in a collection of WWII propaganda.
OOOH! I get to be the jerk who says SHOPPED!!! cant you see the pixels! The Shadows don’t match up. this is t a total shop job…

Who in the hell cares if their photo shopped, fake or real! And if you DO you better get a life!
O.o here we go again… Shopped or not
Actually some of these are ligit. For instance the one that say says “Gee! I wish I were a man…”
Oh and by the way….
If you aren’t a mindless drone, then why are you saying “right wing conspiracy”? That’s pretty mainstream. That’s what all your liberal friends want you to think.
Take a look at the left wing conspiracy.
Damn right, I’m gun-carrying, God fearing, patriotic Conservative.
Gees, right wingers are thick as pig sh*t. There is a certain child like quality about them, well done in spotting all the clues SUV’s, Global warming – Gold Stars all round!
It must be simpler living in a black and white world where you either agree with them or you’re a lefty-pinko-commie-terrorist.
And lets not forget the magic man in he sky that makes it all happen.
It amazes me that in the information rich world we live in so many people make a concious choice to be thick as a post.
Fantastic collection. … !
Can you provide sources ?? or more like these ..
SRSLY SHOPPED
crap, can’t people just look at a bunch of pictures without bickering like a bunch of retarded schoolkids? I once saw a photo shop, ya took this stuff called “film” to them and a sorcerer magically made pictures appear. I swear it’s true!
Kinda makes you wonder about the government… Haha, my favorite one was the “Freedom Silence”.
You can shove feathers up your butt and call yourself a chicken,
doesn’t mean you’re a chicken.
Apparently liberals are incapable of logical debate, so they stoop to name calling and telling conservatives what they are.
i’ll believe these are all photoshopped when you stop pretending “srsly” is a word.
Dear LibsAreFools: You want logical debate? Ok. You go first. Where is the logic in depriving anyone of constitutional rights such as freedom of speech in order to…Wait. I’m lost. What in hell are you trying to accomplish?

Nice collection (though, as has been pointed out some of these are not vintage posters – fox one made me smile though).
War propoganda is a fascinating subject. One thing that always surprises me with WWII images is that it is the birth of the strong female image. It occurs more in the British and Russian wartime posters than in the US (I imagine because unlike the US the women here were facing a hard reality of war – severe bombings, shortages bordering on starvation etc…) It was this image that was to survive, the men went off to fight and came back to a world were women had found their own power.

is just not vintage.
well, 4 or 5 are not real (obviously not real)
and the others are.
as funny and entertaining as they are it does lead some to believe that the rest of them are fake and this post looses credibility.
Not to me of course, since i have half a brain and have seen a lot of these posters in real life.
just be thankful you can see threw them, at one point in time you would have been a educated minority.
time to take your knowledge and fix what your leaders ruin on purpose.
Actually, nr. 5 is legit. VD was a big worry during the war – just google the phrase and you’ll soon find out.
I agree with retard
Why ruin a great WWII history resource for so many American kids with anti-Conservative views? I would have sent my teens here for research if you hadn’t bashed FOX News. Hmm, maybe your views aren’t true or real or important, if you can so easily dismiss, ridicule and ignore ours? Hmm, are we really on the same side?
